Sorrento

Something about the name of this town makes me melt. I could totally have spent days here. I was just getting the lay of the land, (in the shopping district main drag area) and before I knew it, the day was over and it was time to go to our next destination. But let me back up.

My son and daughter in law had planned to go on a hike that involved a sheer ascend to the top of a mountain, which I decided to pass up that particular opportunity. Instead I chose to go shopping for my loved ones at home and maybe get a couple things for myself to remind me of this beautiful country. This time we stored our luggage in the train station for a small fee, as we were heading back north after today.

I found this piece of art to be a great landmark to find my way back to the train station. Each shop I would think I found a great deal but then the next one would have a better deal. I settled for one that reminded me of H&M in the states but all the tags said "made in Italy" that was good enough for me. I found out the word for bag, as someone left their shopping bag in the dressing room I was in and when they came back asking for it I figured it out "borsa" only it sounded like "bossa"
I had a limonetto granite at a sidewalk café and tasted the liquours in the store...they gave out samples.

I found something for everyone including myself. I suddenly felt uncomfortable in the outfit I had chosen to wear as my bra strap kept showing so I tried on a new white lace shirt and asked to wear it out and immediately felt more appropriately clad.

I ended my day sitting outside of the train station in the shade, by a big lady that right before she got up to leave had lifted her butt cheek to fart.
Shan and Nat arrived shortly after that and we were off to Castelemarre di Stabia. our air BNB lodging, which boasted to be a nice little apartment.
This is where I am going to live when I move to Italy
